Hello everyone and welcome to the week! It’s time again to look back at the remarkable updates of the last seven days. As November breathes its last breath, the holiday season is fast approaching. That means we should start seeing more Christmas updates soon. For now, it’s another strange, but good mix. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to fill you in on things you might have missed. Let’s go for that!
Subway surfers, Free It’s amazing how this game has maintained its popularity for so many years. Frequent updates will help with that, I guess. This time the kids are heading back to Cairo, and there’s a new fan character named Super Runner Fernando to unlock, as well as the super-fast Zuper Zapper board. Hasina’s championship outfit gives her a fresh take on the sport, and the Marathon Challenge brings you back to Berlin for some endurance racing.
Animal Crossing: Pocket CampFree The latest update of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp adds a few small new features as well as increasing the cap for animal friendship levels and max inventory slots. There are new export destinations available on Gulliver’s ship, and there are new options for changing the animals invited to your campsite or cabin in case you get tired of seeing the same old faces but you can’t bother changing them all manually. time.
MARVEL Puzzle Quest: RPG HeroesFree There are a few things happening in the latest version of Marvel Puzzle Quest. Riri Williams (Ironheart 3.0) has been added to the game, an Ultron boss battle is underway, and Spider-Man (Classic) is taking a spin in the PVP arena. New Puzzle Ops challenges are also available. I’m sure there are a bunch of other little tweaks and fixes because there are always some, but I’ll leave it up to you to find them if you’re particularly interested in them.
NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition, This update expands the list of legends in the Greatest Mode. There are ten new great players to choose from, bringing the total to thirty. The new batch includes Kobe Bryant, Patrick Ewing, Dwyane Wade, Wilt Chamberlain, and more. It’s always interesting to see legends return to these sports games, especially since they tend to come from so many different eras of sports. This kind of face-off could never happen in real life, after all.
Jetpack Joyride 2,
Jetpack Joyride 2 does its best to live up to the legacy of its popular predecessor, but it will take a whole bunch of updates to make that happen. Here’s another step on that road, I guess. There is a new story level called Neontropolis where you will face Pim Pam Pom. You can get a new skin named Ayylmao who is an alien devoted to peace and ancient memes, and a new power-up in the form of the Pop N weapon which pretty much does what the name suggests. Add a few bug fixes and performance improvements, and that’s it.
SP!NG,
Spexclamation pointing has more new levels to play. The eleventh chapter of The Lost Levels is out now, although the patch notes call it “Chapter 11”. Is that a typo or some kind of secret? Does the second “p” mean “punctuation marks in titles are a stylistic choice and not intended to be read aloud as part of the title, Shaun? I’m going to assume so, in which case my answer is: a strange way to warn me, friends. But the message was received loud and clear. Loud and clear.
Deformed kart racersWhen you get an update from a game like Deformed kart racers, there are some things you would probably like to see. Maybe a new lead. There’s one here, Al Harrington’s, that takes you through the home of the Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman. Maybe you want a new character? Play the Warped series and you’ll unlock Chris Griffin. Do you like multiplayer? Play a new multiplayer episode and you’ll get cool rewards. Yes, it’s a nice solid update for this quirky kart racer.
Road Equipment Club, Now let’s move on to a more direct driver update. In Road Equipment Clubof the latest version, you can now enjoy a new test drive feature at the car dealership. Take these cars for a spin before you commit to buying, just like in real life! Speaking of cars, there’s a new one in this update. No, I don’t know which one. It can be a sort of meta game for you to figure out for yourself. A few adjustments have also been made to the intro and general flow of track unlocks to try and make the game a little easier to get into. If you’re already in it, then you don’t have to worry too much about all that.
HomescapesFree Our back-end is no longer hot to update item icons, but the current icon for Homescapes always amuses me. Austin, a key thing and a toilet. This game is about a middle-aged man who needs a drain real bad, clearly. Anyway, this is our mandatory free puzzles update for the week. He has new stories to play out, including a winter adventure at the North Pole, a plan involving the construction of a homemade ski resort, and a confession of love via the medium of jazz music. New puzzle elements include the tape measure and pool balls, which will likely cause you a lot of trouble when solving the new levels.
Rush Rally 3$4.99 Let’s wrap things up by taking a look at the latest update to hit Brownmonster’s excellent runner Rush Gathering 3. This is a big deal, as it adds cross-platform multiplayer. Yes, you can now compete against people on other platforms, which should make it easier to find people to play with. You can now adjust the position of the HUD between a few different settings, the graphics have been improved, and superwide screens are properly supported. I love this game and it’s a cool update so it gets the coveted UMMSotW reward for this week.
That’s about it for the important updates for the past week. I’m sure I missed a few, so feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think anything should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely have their own news throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to recap and fill in the blanks. Have a good week!
