There were two National Agriscience Finalists in our FFA panel of FFA members, Delana Damman and Ella Richer. Damman was a national finalist in the area of food systems. Delana’s project was the comparison of proteins, solids and fats in goat’s and cow’s milk. She placed 4th in the third division.
Ella was a National Finalist in Plant Systems. Ella’s project looked at the effects of growing cereal rye with annual ryegrass as a cover crop. On Friday we went to the morning session to see Ella receive her 3rd place finish.
After the session, the group visited the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where we drove around the track. The tour stopped at the famous bricks on the fast lane and a few members kissed the bricks.

Since the convention, members have made signs and career sayings to help show off what they have learned. Additionally, articles were written to share with donors who helped pay for the trip.
